This month we completed our first ever coding class in the library and had a lot of fun doing it. Following Google's CS First curriculum, our students were able to create engaging stories and games using a programming language called Scratch. This drag and drop language is a free to use, easy introduction to computer science and computational thinking. Coding is not only an important skill in today's job market but it also promotes creative thinking and problem solving skills. These budding computer scientists were happy to get a head start.
