On JAN 27, 2025, HPL will be adopting new software for both its circulation system and online catalog. Continue reading to find out how to prepare for the upcoming changes. Current patron passwords are either the default 1234 or a custom password created by individual cardholders.
These current passwords will be valid up until the software migration on the 27th.
Beginning JAN 27, all patron passwords will be set by default to the last 4 digits of the primary phone number listed in each patron registration. On or after the 27th, you may choose to retain this default telephone password (no action needed) or create a custom library PW.
Please prepare for this password change by confirming that the primary telephone number in your library account is correct. When visiting the library in January, Circulation staff will be happy to help with this. You may also check/update your primary telephone number by logging into your account in HPL’s online catalog here. Find phone information under My Account, My Record, Contact Information.
