Important News for cloudLibrary Borrowers!

Updated: Feb 28

To streamline access and increase views of all digital titles, HPL is moving its best-selling e-collection from the cloudLibrary app to OverDrive's Libby app. Staff will continue to purchase new titles just for our borrowers in Libby. This move will take place in early MAR 2024. After FEB 29, the cloudLibrary app will no longer be available to HPL cardholders

Things to Know:

  • All in one place, enjoy the same great SJ OverDrive titles (digital books, audios, and magazines) plus Haddonfield's collection of 3000 titles

  • Borrow new Libby titles purchased monthly for HPL cardholders - then download to reading devices including the Kindle Paperwhite

  • New to Libby? Find out more about downloading the Libby app here - it's available free with your library card

  • New to Libby or need an app refresher? Contact the Library Tech Center for additional assistance or to set up an appointment (856-429-1304 ext. 119)

More Nuts & Bolts:

  • Borrowers should not plan on having access to downloaded (not yet expired) cloudLibrary titles on reading devices after FEB 29

  • Content borrowed in the cloudLibrary app after FEB 16 will most likely have decreasing loan periods for this reason

  • Active Holds placed on cloudLibrary titles will not migrate over to Libby. Patrons will need to place new holds on these titles in Libby after the move

  • Similarly, Reading History stored in the cloudLibrary app will not travel over to Libby

  • To print a list of cloudLibrary Active Holds and Reading History, log into your cloudlibrary account in a web browser at this URL before FEB 29. Enter the Find Your Library information, then tap the Login tab in the upper right corner of the webpage, and follow the prompts. Once in your account, select My Books. You will find History and Holds tabs along the task bar. From these tabs, if you wish, you may print a list of titles

  • Thank you for your patience during this transition
